Wonderful staff, super friendly service & the food is excellent! Best Chinese in the greater cleveland area

Called to order takeout and was told it would take a half hour to make. We arrived a half hour later for pickup and they said the order never got put in the computer. So it was never even made. They offered for me to wait another half hour to get our food.... No thanks.

Never quiet understood why people like this place so much around here the food is less than special and just weird bad vibes all around. Maybe it's the outdated decor or an offsetting demeanor of the employees. Can't put my finger on it. I would just rather eat somewhere else less awkward and more tasty

I work in the Area and was told they had Great food. Went there the 1st time it was pretty good.. Next time I went for a pick up and when I got back to work to eat it- Let's just say NOT GOOD AT ALL... BURNT & GREASY CRAB RANGOONS, OVER COOKED SHRIMP IN MY RICE AND EGG ROLLS WERE OLD... NO MORE FOR ME

I have been going here for a while. I have recommended Yangtze to a few friends, who also enjoy the food and service. Great portions, awesome service and perfect locations.

Spicy foods are spicy again and when I order them I like them to be so. The hot and sour soup was good also.

Now that I’ve left my hometown for a bigger city and tried a lot of different Chinese food, I can say Yangtze is the best I’ve ever had. I look forward to treating myself to it each time I visit home

Very good. Tastes home made vs most chinese which tastes like it was bought of a truck from gfs.

Chardon institution. Perhaps it's nostalgia, I don't believe it is, but as someone who has traveled extensively across the United States and consumed Chinese food both near and far I think it's easily some of, if not THE, best around. From L.A. to NYC I have never found any American style Chinese take out I would prefer. And the staff are exceedingly kind and courteous. There's a reason Yangtze has been here FOREVER without changing a thing. Look no further for all your favorites. Love, love, love this place!!!

There’s more than one Chinese restaurant in this town and I suggest you choose the other. This is based on four separate attempts. The only reason for multiple visits would be because my girlfriend likes the Pork Fried Rice here. Food is fair to midland - nothing special so don’t anticipate being “wowed”. Service is fair though the young blond lady at the front on the weekends is less than pleasant. Make sure you have time to wait as well, especially if you call and place an order by phone. Quoted 20-25 minutes and it’ll be closer to 40 minutes. This last round is going on 45 minutes and counting. The decor is severely outdated and nothing special so no stars for uniqueness. Carpet is due to be replaced for sure. Yangtze earned 2 stars because the duck isn’t bad at all. Try the other place in town would be my final suggestion.

The food is fabulous and Rita is so kind and has the greatest smile.

Great takeout.

Been here approximately 10 times now and have never had less than amazing food. The owners are friendly and appreciative. Service is always quick and prices are very good for the quality of the food. Hot and sour soup is awesome! Egg rolls are homemade. Have never been to a place that makes their own duck sauce before. Wow! Best I’ve ever had!! Entree portions are nice and there’s always some left over to take home. Will definitely return.

The servers are extremely helpful and courteous! Furthermore, all the food we have ever eaten from here has been thoroughly delicious, we couldn't be happier! Little heads up though....if you order take out be sure to check that there are eating utensils in the bag with the food if you need them. They don't automatically give them to you, you need ask.

Decent food, good service and good price. They do not have General tso chicken that was disappointing. But the food was well prepared and came out quickly

The Sushi is by far the best in the area! Talking with the workers to find out they came here from New York to make top quality Sushi! I am obsessed with this place. I can't wait to go again. . . Maybe tomorrow. . Not kidding.

At first glance, this smaller restaurant doesn't seem too special. However, it has quickly become one of my favorite local restaurants to enjoy Asian-American dishes at an affordable price, good taste, and with prompt service. For those on a budget looking to enjoy some delicious food, it's most definitely a viable option for those interested in Asian cuisine.

My mom couldn’t wait to get home to eat the egg room she would always have on the way back with my grandma and I and our orange chicken , pork fried rice , wonton soup every week or two and then I had my left overs at the lumber yard on Saturday , now we never go because it is not anything like like the fresh delicious food we used to enjoy and it makes us sad and we wonder how it stays open

terrible.. wonder last times time some deep cleaning happened to menus and table wear.. sweet and sour chicken was bland.. never asked what rice.. she forgot my won ton soup but brought my moms. the rice looked like wild rice or rice pilaf.. no veggies or eggs.. when she asked me for box I said no .. mom said he didn't like it.. they didn't take it off bill.. won't be back

We really liked it. My husband is on a low salt diet. Since the food here is made freshly, making his meal without salt wasn'ta problem for the cook. Fresh, crisp vegetables, everything perfectly cooked, so it was a fine meal.

Best Chinese food for miles.

We've been going to Yangtze for years, usually as a dine-in Patron, the whole family has considered it our favorite place for Chinese food. Last night, we ordered takeout, four of us all had something different and everyone commented on how good it it was. The portions were surprisingly large, we have found that other Chinese places seem to be skimping on their takeout orders. Yangtze didn't lose their place at the top for me and my family.

Yangtze come back to us. we miss you. we don't know what to eat on Thursday nights anymore! :(

This was the best Asian restaurant I have eaten at. The egg drop soup was great. It was a little expensive, but you should not have a dish with scallops for under $15.

Very nice Chinese restaurant on the Square in Chardon. The food was excellent and moderately priced. Plenty of parking on the scenic Square. There is a step at the entrance which would be an obstacle for a wheelchair though not insurmountable with some help.

Very good food at a great price.

Let me start by saying, 4 star average? Either you people are blind, have no taste buds, or have never left Chardon in your lives. This place is the WORST. I used to dine here back in 2000. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. I eat here very 2 years in hopes that it makes a great come back. Instead, it only gets worse. Today's visit consisted of me being the only patron. HOW IS THIS PLACE STILL IN BUSINESS? I ordered chicken fried rice. They are literal as in only has chicken, rice, bean sprouts, and a few green onions. No egg. No carrot. It looked and tasted bland. I'm dreading paying my bill because I would have been happier eating out of the Asian freezer section at Walmart.

Not the best of the best, but as far as my American taste buds go this place is great. The service is decent too. Warning, I always order Lo mein. So my perspective is limited.

Best Chinese in the greater Cleveland area. I challenge you to find better. Located in the historic Chardon Square.

Amazing food and great staff. The main lady is super nice and sweet! I go here about once a week, maybe twice a week sometimes. Ignore the peasant who gave it a one star for outdated decor, I'm going for the food and friendly environment, not a decoration.

Our waiter was a tennage looking boy who appeared to put very lottery effort into his job. I assume his parents own the place. The food was so quick it made me worry. The food did have excellent presentation and tasted good.

Worst General Tsos chicken I’ve ever had. The meat was full of gristle. Back to Tai Pan in Middlefield where the quality is better. You get what you pay for.

Very good chinese food new ownership is def reflected in the quality it was previously. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Do not hesitate to order or dine in you won’t be disappointed.

Yangtze is under new ownership as of a Month ago. The new owners are great. Food is great as always. The last owner was abrasive, but Rita & Harry are great. Super professional, and their passion for what they do is reflected in the product they serve!!!!!

Nice location, good tea, fresh made and good Chinese food, can recommend the pot stickers and all the noodle dishes they have, and the empress shrimp, only trouble is parking in chardon square can be difficult, thankfully they take call in orders for quick pickup.

Went for dinner last night to this restaurant and we were really surprised by the wonderful service and delicious food. We ordered a dinner for two combo and both got soup, I got hot sour and Rowdy got egg drop. Both very good. Next was appetizers, we both got an egg roll and a BBQ sparerib and it was the first time I had a sparerib and it was superb. The egg roll was stuffed with just the right amount of vegetables and was served with a sweet sour duck sauce that I believe to be homemade, extremely tasty. Main courses were General Tso and Kung Po Chicken and it did not disappoint. Just the right amount of heat. I could only ask them to add a bigger bar, bring in mixed drinks and it would be perfect! Great job, we will be back!
